On the Summary screen, tick box for I accept the terms of the SOLIDWORKS License Agreement then click the Modify Now button to finish:.

Once the new serial number is entered in, click Next.

On the Serial Number screen of the Installation Manager you can now change the SOLIDWORKS serial number to the new one that you want to use.

Select Modify your installation and click Next.

The SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager will now launch.

However, if you need to use the software straight away you MUST Uninstall the software yourself and then re-install locally. If this is the case your IT administrator should contact us for further instructions. Please Note: If the only option available is Uninstall, then SOLIDWORKS was installed using an Administrative Image and it may be the case that your IT administrator wishes to update the administrative image and re-install the software himself.

From the list of installed programs find SOLIDWORKS, select it and click Change.

If you are using Windows 10 or 11, you can get to Control Panel by searching for it as in the screenshot below.
